GameThread: Toronto FC At D.C. United
It all ends tonight. The end of Jaime Moreno's magical career. And the end of D.C. United's pitiful 2010 season. Their opponents tonight at RFK Stadium are Toronto FC, another team that's down and out.
Game time: 7:30 pm
Television: None, you should be there
Projected Starting Lineup: Will Pablo Hernandez or Danny Allsopp accompany Moreno at forward? It doesn't really matter. All we're looking for tonight is a goal for Moreno to give him sole possession of the all-time goals mark again, and another quality performance from Andy Najar so he can wrap up the Rookie of the Year race. The Toronto attack will have a tough time scoring though with Troy Perkins back on his game.
Should be a fun one. Thankfully, I write this for the final time of 2010: This is your place for pre-game, in-game, and post-game discussion.

Was that the first pk of the year for DC?
I can’t remember another.

Yes!
A great point.
Honestly it’s something that we’ve been missing by leaving Moreno on the bench. Not only is he great at converting PKs, he’s also great at creating them.

I have no Internet at my house. I am watching this at work after hours. No chance I was missing this

Jaime's my hero
I’m a defender and I love this guy. What a wonderful pk!

WTF
Obviously not a homer ref, or more appropriately side judge. I hate this feed I get a still every 20 sec

Even with the result, that was a heck of a lot of fun.
With the way the season’s gone, it’s basically less how the team’s done and more how you’ve enjoyed the game. I enjoyed it greatly, even with the end result. For a night that was all about Jaime, having him get - and convert - a PK was appropriate.
Simulated Gameday Experience - just like the real thing, only we have smoke machines.
