Former DCU/MLS player Bobby Convey hospitalized, recovering

Some alarming news, and well-wishes for the alum.

United v Fire

Former midfielder Bobby Convey is no stranger to D.C. United fans, joining the team when he was 17 before joining England Championship side Reading in 2004, helping them to promotion before returning to MLS in 2009, spending time with four clubs (mostly the San Jose Earthquakes) before the New York Red Bulls let him go in 2014.

Recently, some frightening health news about Convey, who now lives in South Carolina, emerged, being rushed to the hospital for an apparent severe asthma attack, which he discussed on his Instagram page:

Suffice to say, we hope Bobby recovers and enjoys a safe, happy and most importantly healthy post-playing life.
