At last, our long national nightmare is over. MLS is finally back, and D.C. United kicks off the 2013 campaign with a toughie: at the Houston Dynamo, in a stadium where nobody has beaten the Orange and a city where the Black-and-Red have never won. Add to that the Dynamo seeming to have our number and the Dwayne De Rosario's suspension for a preseason bout of insanity (and also headbutting), and Ben Olsen's side will have their work cut out for them.
Time: 8 pm
Venue: BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston, Tx.
TV: NBC Sports Network
Projected D.C. Lineup: Bill Hamid in goal; Chris Korb, Dejan Jakovic, Brandon McDonald, Daniel Woolard on the back line. Defensive midfielders Perry Kitchen and Marcelo Saragosa; John Thorrington playing a more advanced, attacking role. Nick DeLeon and Chris Pontius on the wings, and Lionard Pajoy playing the #9.
What Are You Drinking: I'm planning on watching this one at the official team watch party at Ventnor Sports Cafe in Adams Morgan, so I'll be drinking whatever is cheap, but decent, there. Probably Yeungling. Find me if you're there!
For the first real time in 2013 - the others were just practice - this is your place for pre-game, in-game and post-game discussion.
