Once again, DCU travels with a short bench
Steve Goff today revealed that Jaime Moreno will not travel to LA for our game against the Galaxy due to an illness. That leaves us with 9 players out injured on a 26 man roster. I'm no math whiz, but I'm pretty sure that leaves us at least one player short of a full seven-man bench.
Here's a complete list of who is actually fit:
GK: Perkins, Harrison
DF: Graye, Jakovic, James, Zayner, McTavish
MF: Najar, Simms, Boskovic, Quaranta, King, Varela, Morsink, Junior
FW: Hernandez, Allsopp
That group of 17 is optimistic, as it assumes that Clyde Simms will play (I would guess that he's not getting his surgery precisely because of the injury situation throughout the team; that's noble, if also reckless) and that Junior will receive his ITC paperwork in time.

Junior is ready
Confirmed. Hopefully he was able to get a late flight out to L.A. today!
GM Dave Kasper just informed us that Junior Carreiro has received his ITC and will be available for selection tomorrow vs. LA

I suspect only one change to the lineup
I figure Morsink will be left out for Boskovic in central midfield. LA would absolutely feast on Morsink’s giveaways, and against TFC he was also missing tackles that he couldn’t afford to miss. It’s hard to justify changing a winning team after all the losing we’ve done, but I think this is a completely reasonable move.
