GameThread: DC United at Houston Dynamo
DC United journeys out to Robertson Stadium in Houston, where our team has NEVER won. Should we like our chances today?
Game time: 8:00pm EST
Television: Galavision, ATDHE.net
Projected Starting Lineup:
Perkins
Graye
Talley
Pena
Wallace
Simms
Morsink
Najar
Castillo
Cristman
Allsopp
Last minute thoughts: As demonstrated in the scouting report yesterday, the Dynamo are not at their best right now. But missing key players has never held Houston back before, as the team continues to adapt to player departures and injuries without too much of a detriment to their record. Meanwhile, United is slowly progressing towards full strength. Chris Pontius and Andy Najar are set to return to the gameday roster today after sitting out previously. And while Pontius is not yet at full fitness, look for Najar to earn a start, probably on the right wing. Troy Perkins will be back in the starting lineup for the first time this month after strong showings in training and a minor injury to Bill Hamid. Does all that translate into DC's second win of the year? We'll find out soon enough.
This is your place for pre-game, in-game, and post-game thoughts.

Hoping to see Najar start
I think we’ll benefit from Najar’s more thought-out approach on the right, as opposed to watching Khumalo run down blind alleys (always a strong possibility, but especially so against an organized Dynamo team). It will be very important to take care of the ball today, because if the pace of the game gets too high, our defense is much more likely to crumble first. Patience and possession are our friends tonight.

Dammit, Adrian Serioux isn’t starting for Houston? There goes our best chance for victory!

4-3-3
At least that’s how it looks. I almost saw this one coming. Danny Allsopp was too busy trying to create chances last game to be effective as the target. But DC doesn’t look like it can win the midfield battle.

Ugh. Why was Wallace in the middle of the box?

Danny Allsopp just created two chances in a row for us. He’s the only guy really doing anything productive offensively for us.

4-3-3
If United wasn’t in a 4-3-3 before, they definitely are now at the start of the second half. Emilio-Moreno-Allsopp up top. Castillo-Simms-Pontius in the midfield.
