Later this month, the latest installment of the popular soccer video game, FIFA 19, will hit the shelves. As always, information has been slowly leaking out about the player ratings for all the players in the game. Unsurprisingly, D.C. United did not have any players in the top 100 players in the game. But, thanks to the website FutWiz, we now have a chance to see what ratings the Black-and-Red were given for each player’s Ultimate Team card.

For the first time, there is a base gold card for United (to start the game), and there are several players who saw boosts to their ratings, most notably, Chris Durkin. We will breakdown the ratings by the color of the card for Ultimate Team for each player, highlighting several players.

As always, give your thoughts in the comments as to which ratings you think might be too low. Or too high, for your favorite DCU player.

Gold

  • Wayne Rooney - 80

This is uncharted territory for United, who have never had a gold card player until Rooney’s arrival in July. Rooney’s rating did drop from the 81 he had in FIFA 18 when he joined the MLS side, but the rating is still by far the best on United. Rooney’s card also had him as a center midfielder when he was playing for Everton, but that was changed when he came to D.C.

Silver

  • Luciano Acosta - 74
  • Bill Hamid - 74
  • Yamil Asad - 72
  • Paul Arriola - 72
  • Zoltan Stieber - 71
  • David Ousted - 71
  • Steven Birnbaum - 69
  • Russell Canouse - 68
  • Kofi Opare - 68
  • Darren Mattocks - 68
  • Chris Durkin - 67
  • Vytas - 67
  • Ulises Segura - 66
  • Frederic Brillant - 66
  • Junior Moreno - 65
  • Ian Harkes - 65
  • Taylor Kemp - 65
  • Nick DeLeon - 65

Most players donning the Black-and-Red were given silver cards. Hamid, who rejoined the club on loan, retains his 74 rating. Acosta got a slight bump up 74 from 72 in last year’s game, though he recently had an in-form card, from his hat trick against Orlando City, that gave him an 80 rating. Asad, Stieber, and Arriola also got small increases in ratings. Arriola has been given a right midfielder position, though he did have an in-form CM card in FIFA 18.

The rating that jumps out the most is Durkin, with his 67 representing a 10 point jump from last year. An increase is not all that surprising, considering last year, Durkin had yet to appear in a MLS game, while this year, the 18-year-old has made 19 league appearances. His fellow midfielder, Canouse, also got a nice bump from 64 to 68, going from a bronze to silver card.

Bronze

  • Oniel Fisher - 64
  • Jared Jeffrey - 64
  • Joseph Mora - 63
  • Bruno Miranda - 63
  • Travis Worra - 63
  • Jalen Robinson - 61
  • Chris Odoi-Atsem - 60

This is where the rest of the team falls in the upcoming release. There are no players rated in the 50s for United, which is a first. It’s also nice to see Robinson move up into the 60s, though if he had more playing time in real life, he’d likely have an even higher rating than what the 61.

There were no cards listed for Dane Kelly or new signing Kevin Ellis, but they will likely get added in at some point. To check out more detailed ratings of United’s players, click here. Check out any player’s rating in the game by heading over to FutWiz.
