D.C. United vs. New England Revolution GIFs

We look at moments that entertained us in animate internet filings.

I'm not going to lie; I had doubts about this matchup for D.C. United against the New England Revolution, for reasons I prattled on about in our predictions post. Yet all it took was a formation change, an excellent performance by a youngster, and some creativity in attack that propelled D.C. United to a 2-0 win over the New England Revolution.

And with that, let's take a look at some moments that caught our eye during the match, starting with an early chance from Fabian Espindola to Alvaro Saborio. It was the lack of marking on the back side that almost had the Revs pay early:

Then, well, Luciano Acosta made Alvaro Saborio look REALLY good...before Alvaro Saborio made Alvaro Saborio look not so good:

Remember the left back absence in the first GIF? Well, what's up Lamar Neagle:

Neagle contributed the assist on this goal, but his work before it should also be appreciated, getting the ball from Acosta and the work with Saborio before Sean Franklin put it home:

Neagle could have had another in the second half after some additional fancy ball movement:

The remaining GIFs I'm just going to call the Jalen Robinson show. First, his work on shouldering Lee Nguyen off the ball:

Next, Robinson with a nice block on a Kei Kamara shot:

Next, Robinson on Nguyen again, before Bill Hamid put a stop to this foolishness:

And if you liked Robinson blocking Kamara before, here's another one:

So, what did you like from the game?
