In a move that is not too surprising, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended D.C. United attacker Chris Rolfe for one game. In the 45th minute, Rolfe lunged out for a tackle that earned him a yellow card, with his studs going into the back of Nick LaBrocca's calf. It looked pretty bad on the replays, and Rolfe was fairly lucky not to be sent off at the time.
This roster implications of this suspension are fairly easy to divine: barring some massive change (which we will delve into in the upcoming lineup post), the starting XI will be in the same 4-4-1-1 that Ben Olsen has used most of this year, but with Alvaro Saborio and Luciano Acosta starting up top.
Do you agree with the Disciplinary Committee that this is a suspension worthy offense? Do you want to see Ben Olsen do something different now that Chris Rolfe is out?
