Friendly GameThread: El Salvador at D.C. United
Just because El Salvador didn't make the World Cup doesn't mean their national team won't be in action today. D.C. United will seek to continue their unbeaten streak tonight at RFK Stadium in a charity match.
Game time: 7:30pm EST
Television: None. Go to the game!
Projected Starting Lineup:
| Perkins | ||||
| McTavish | Jakovic | James | Graye | |
| Simms | King | |||
| Najar | Pontius | |||
| Quaranta | Emilio |
Last minute thoughts: We're likely to see every healthy member of United's roster in action tonight in this friendly affair. The score won't matter. It's the charities that are the headline tonight. But this will be a good chance for D.C. to get more experience playing against a different style of opponent. And while this match won't count in the standings, United will surely do their best to keep their undefeated streak going.
With no coverage on television or online, this game is going to be hard to follow. But if you're in attendance, feel free to use the comments thread to keep us informed.
And if anyone cares to write a FanPost after the match, the chances of it getting promoted to the front page are high.

I know it means nothing at all
But it’s still great to see DCU continue their winning/unbeaten streak, and against a national team, no less. The crowd was easily 98% El Salvador supporters, so that and the Seattle game show that the team has true resolve to win in hostile environments. And hey, Marc Burch is back! Depth along the backline is never a bad thing.
