Today concludes our annual countdown series because, well, the season starts tomorrow. Now, I know modern musicals aren't everyone's bag, but watch the video, listen, sing along and try not to get pumped for tomorrow night, when D.C. United goes across the barricade for the first time in this year's quest to bolster their unparalleled-in-MLS trophy case. The Supporters will get their first chance to make sure we hear the people sing in a week's time, but the season opens Tuesday night in Queretaro, Mexico for the first leg of their Concacaf Champions League quarterfinal confrontation.
MLS play starts March 6, but United, Real Salt Lake, the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders all kick off this week looking for international glory and a berth in the castle on a cloud that is the Club World Cup.
The Black-and-Red (the blood of angry men!) have added both depth and youth to the roster - nobody would call it a Student's Rebellion, but the changes are there, with Luciano Acosta, Julian Buescher, Rob Vincent and Paul Clowes all joining this winter. At the end of the day, the team may fall short, but now is when we can dream a dream.
Vamos!
