With D.C. United’s first midweek game of the season coming up this week, we have a jam-packed episode; we also have to do it without the services of Adam, who is off on assignment. In his stead, Jason and Ben break down D.C. United’s 1-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps, including starting off by talking about Jose Ortiz’s embellishment and Kendall Waston’s role in all of it. We also talk about Bill Hamid’s penalty and how bad the Whitecaps were in front of goal. We end this segment by breaking down how good Bill Hamid was and how good Ian Harkes was.

We then move on to talk about tomorrow’s game against Orlando City SC, including how poor they’ve looked since their great start. We talk about how Cyle Larin and Carlos Rivas run the show, how much rotation they may have to do, and who might start up top for United.

For the final segment, we bring back one of our favorite guests, Josie Becker, to talk LA Galaxy. We get into how much better the team is without Jermaine Jones, whether or not Curt Onalfo can keep him on the bench, and how Romain Alessandrini has changed the team. We also ask Josie to gameplan the Galaxy for us, all in-between jokes about British accents and Scientology. Give it a listen!

We are also launching the Filibuster Patreon today, so go take a look at the things that we want to do and the benefits you could acquire. This show as it is won’t be going anywhere, but we really want to be able to take it to the next level, which we can only do with your support. Thanks!
