D.C. United team awards, MLS roster moves: Freedom Kicks for 26 November 2015

Even on Thanksgiving, Freedom Kicks roll on.

A Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in Black and Red United land, as well as the greater D.C. United fandom. We do this all for you, and we hope we bring some fun. Despite it being the day before Thanksgiving, MLS teams did do some work yesterday; let's get to it.

D.C. United Team Awards for 2015 Season | D.C. United: D.C. United announced their team awards for the past season, with Chris Rolfe winning MVP and Golden Boot, Bill Hamid winning best defender, and Travis Worra winning Humanitarian of the Year.

Roster Changes for Sporting KC - The Blue Testament: Three teams announced their roster moves yesterday, with Sporting Kansas City's out of contract players including Seth Sinovic and Jalil Anibaba.

Goalkeeper Tally Hall Among Nine Players Let Go By Orlando City - The Mane Land: For Orlando City, that list includes Tally Hall, LEWIS NEAL, Eric Avila, and Danny Mwanga.

Revolution Release Roster Update, Jones Out of Contract - The Bent Musket: And for New England the out of contract list includes Jermaine Jones, Steve Neumann, and Kevin Alston. Out of this list, the only potential interesting players to me are Eric Avila and maybe Steve Neumann, but let me know what you think about this first wave of potential new United players.

Insider Notes: Female FIFA reforms, Jermaine Jones, Copa America - Planet Futbol - SI.com: Buried in this article is the fact that several MLS GMs apparently think the offseason is going to be "bloodbath" for players making between $100K and $250K, as many teams had to burn allocation money to keep them after the salary budget did not go up as much as expected. It will be somethingg to look out for as the offseason progresses.

Sacramento City Council to vote on term sheet for soccer stadium | The Sacramento Bee: Likely future MLS team Sacramento Republic is close to getting their MLS quality stadium.

Arlo Guthrie marks 50th at scene of 'Alice's Restaurant Massacree' - Berkshire Eagle Online: My favorite Thanksgiving song turns 50; go listen to it in all its 18 minute glory today.

That's all I have. What's up?
