Fantasy Focus: The Price is Right

I don’t even know what to say about this.

MLS: Los Angeles FC at Colorado Rapids Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

With a score of [checks notes] 76 points? Is that right? West Knox United led the round.

It was a slow week. Demonbarber19 still leads overall.

Six goalkeepers with clean sheets tied for the positional lead with 9 points: Brad Guzan (ATL, $6.8), Luis Robles (NYR, $6.6), Vito Mannone (MIN, $7.5), Kenneth Kronholm (CHI, $5.9), Tyler Miller (LA, $6.5), and Brian Rowe (ORL, $6.8). DCU’s Bill Hamid ($6.9) somehow scored 4 points.

LAFC’s Jordan Harvey ($6.1) led the defenders with 16 points on a clean sheet and two assists, while Carlos Ascues (ORL, $5.5) paired a goal and a clean sheet on the way to 15 points. Kemar Lawrence (NYR, $5.5) rounded out the top three with a goal and a clean sheet. For United, Frederic Brillant ($7.5) scored 7 points, while Leonardo Jara ($7.5) and Donovan Pines ($5.6) scored 1 each.

Colorado’s Jack Price ($7.6) led all midfielders and all players with 21 points on the strength of three assists and a whopping eight attacking bonus points. Behind him, Marco Fabian (PHI, $9.4) tallied two goals, an assist, and 17 points, while Felipe Gutierrez (SKC, $10.9) scored two goals and 15 points. D.C.’s midfield featured Luciano Acosta ($8.0) and Lucas Rodriguez ($7.4) with 3 points each, followed by the pair of Paul Arriola ($8.0) and Ulises Segura ($4.0) with 2 points, Chris Durkin ($4.9) with 1, and Junior Moreno ($5.6) with -1.

Kei Kamara’s (COL, $7.9) hat trick helped him to 17 points, leading all forwards. Jordan Morris (SEA, $9.4) scored twice on the way to 14 points, and Tesho Akindele (ORL, $6.6) had an assist and also PUT IT IN YOUR GOOOOOAL for 11 points. Wayne Rooney ($10.4) was the only scoring forward for United, with 3 points.

Looking Ahead

Just NYC and Houston play twice this round. Houston is on the road against both NYC and Philadelphia, so I’m not going near their guys, even with the double-game week. In goal, I like Steve Clark (POR, $7.6) at home against Vancouver, and in defense I like Auro (TOR, $6.6) at home against Orlando. I’m taking Maxi Moralez (NYC, $11.7) in midfield at home against Houston and at Atlanta, and Kacper Przybyłko (PHI, $7.6) at forward, at home against Houston.
