The week began with D.C. United announcing their preseason roster and the week ended with their USL affiliate team Loudoun United announcing their roster and schedule as well. The roster includes their signed professional players and a mix of Academy players, including the following:
Goalkeeper (2): Jermaine Fordah, Keegan Meyer
Defender (4): Wahab Ackwei, Robert Dambrot, Timmy Mehl, Gaoussou Samaké
Midfielder (5): Tyler Gabarra, Landry Nanan Houssou, Ted Ku-DiPietro, Barakatulla Sharifi, Drew Skundrich
Forward (5): Kairou Amoustapha, Massimo Ferrin, Mike Gamble, Darluis Paz, Samson Sergi
Academy Players: Seb Conlon, RJ Fuentes, Jeremy Garay, Teddy Hutman, Diego Ochoa-Gomez, Adam Lundegard, Johnny Mannell, Issa Mudashiru, Juston Rainey, Owen Walz, Mati Yohannes
Five of the ten Academy players appeared with Loudoun last season (Walz and Yohanes come to the Academy from Arlington Soccer), and some are expected to be brought back for the first half of the season. All of Loudoun’s signed players are in camp as well.

Along with the previously known friendly with Loudoun and D.C., the remaining four games are home and home games between D.C.’s former affiliate in Richmond, and in the Union II, the team dropped from the USL Championship at the end of 2020, with plans to join the MLS U23 League, which is projected to begin in 2022.
The USL Championship regular season is projected to begin on or about May 1.
