Election Day could have some MLS implications.

Happy Wednesday folks. It was a long night, with election coverage and college basketball keeping me up till like 3am. With that, here’s the news:

No D.C. United players are on the list, which is basically inexplicable. The United States tak on England and Italy next week.

Fate of stadium site: Initial election results look promising for Measure G, ominous for Measure E | CBS 8 San Diego

Looks like Measure E, the proposed stadium plan backed by Landon Donovan, has gone down in favor of Measure G, the plan backed by the San Diego State Aztecs. This doesn’t look good for San Diego’s MLS expansion bid.

Inter Miami cleared a major hurdle as voters approved a referendum to have their planned stadium on the land currently occupied by a city golf course next to Miami International Airport. Still a couple boxes left to be checked, but a huge victory for David Beckham and the rest of the ownership.
