Happy Wednesday folks. It was a long night, with election coverage and college basketball keeping me up till like 3am. With that, here’s the news:
Looks like Measure E, the proposed stadium plan backed by Landon Donovan, has gone down in favor of Measure G, the plan backed by the San Diego State Aztecs. This doesn’t look good for San Diego’s MLS expansion bid.
Inter Miami cleared a major hurdle as voters approved a referendum to have their planned stadium on the land currently occupied by a city golf course next to Miami International Airport. Still a couple boxes left to be checked, but a huge victory for David Beckham and the rest of the ownership.
Zack Steffen is named the 2018 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. Thoughts on whether it was deserved?
Wayne Rooney’s arrival and play has all of us excited for 2019. What reinforcements can we make to create a juggernaut?
No Christen Press or Tobin Heath for the USWNT for the friendlies against Portugal and, most likely, against Scotland.
This could be a big blow to Seattle’s chances to advance.
A terrible season for the LA Galaxy means Pete Vagenas gets the axe.
UEFA does not like the plans to create a Super League. We’ll see how this pans out.
This new MLS match ball looks pretty cool.
Alright, back to sleep for me. Hit the comments and tell us what news you saw yesterday.
