Just over 48 hours before the kickoff of the National Women’s Soccer League’s Fall Series gets underway, the league has revealed the full schedule of games, including broadcast details. The Washington Spirit will play four games in a pod including the Chicago Red Stars and Sky Blue FC, with two of those games being shown nationally on CBS, including tomorrow’s Fall Series opener between the Spirit and Sky Blue.
The Spirit will host their games at Segra Field, home of D.C. United’s USL Championship affiliate Loudoun United. With safety in mind, fans will not be allowed to attend those matches. A similar policy is in place for Chicago, who will play at their normal home, SeatGeek Stadium.
Sky Blue had planned on hosting 2020 games at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ, but a jam-packed schedule at that venue necessitated a move to MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field, a 5,000-seat stadium on the campus of Montclair State University. Along with the New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Arena is hosting USL affiliate NYRB II, New York City FC, and reportedly could also be the temporary home for the Montreal Impact and Toronto FC. Sky Blue currently does not plan on allowing fans, though they have left the option open in case the Covid-19 situation changes.
The full schedule for the Spirit’s pod is below. The entire Fall Series schedule can be found on the league site.
