The 2018 NWSL Draft projected to be a busy day for the Washington Spirit. With seven picks — that is, 17.5% of the entire picks in the four-round event — the Spirit were sure to play a huge part in determining how the day went. In the end, Washington used all seven picks to add players, leaning heavily on those with experience in the Spirit Reserves and Spirit Academy. Those names included USWNT midfielder Andi Sullivan, as well as Rebecca Quinn (a regular for Canada’s national team).
