The United States women's national team is not having a victory tour after the Olympics did not end in, well, victory. However, they do have two upcoming friendlies against Thailand and the Netherlands, and the list of players called in by Jill Ellis unsurprisingly includes Crystal Dunn and Ali Krieger. Due to the scheduled international window, they will not miss any games for the Spirit. The USWNT will face Thailand on September 15th in Columbus before traveling to Atlanta to play the Netherlands on September 18th.
During the Olympics, Dunn battled for time on the right wing with Mallory Pugh, with Ellis more or less rotating the two. Tobin Heath appears to be first choice on the left, but the gap between her, Dunn, and Pugh should be quite small. Pugh will only be in camp for the second game, against the Netherlands, as she continues to train with the US under-20 national team. Krieger, meanwhile, seems set as the #3 fullback on the roster, with Kelley O'Hara and Meghan Klingenberg ahead of her at the moment. Nonetheless, she will almost certainly see time in both friendlies.
