Although the United States women's national team booked their tickets to Canada with their 3-0 win over Mexico on Friday, there's still one match left to play in the CONCACAF Women's Championship. A final is a final, and the U.S. look to close out their last competitive game until the World Cup with a win.
Kickoff time: 6:00 PM ET
Venue: PPL Park (Chester, PA)
TV/Streaming: As with the other games in this tournament, Fox Sports 1 is where this one's at. Streaming is available through Fox Soccer 2 Go or Fox Sports GO.
Projected lineup: This match might not hold that much significance in the grand scheme of things, but it's still a chance at a trophy. I'm thinking not a lot will change from the Mexico game, with Hope Solo in goal behind Ali Krieger, Christie Rampone, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Meghan Klingenberg. In midfield, it'll be Carli Lloyd, Lauren Holiday, and Megan Rapinoe, with a front three of Christen Press, Tobin Heath, and Sydney Leroux.
Match previews: We've got 'em from US Soccer, Fox Sports, and MLSsoccer.com.
Prediction: It's not going to be a walk in the park for the U.S., who are facing a Costa Rica team that deserves their spot in this final. However, the Ticas did play an extra 30 minutes and go to penalties against Trinidad and Tobago on Friday. I'm hoping for an exciting one with some real attacking play, but in the end? The U.S. takes it, 3-1.
What are you drinking? Ruby red chai tea from Trader Joe's, probably. Wait, is that not what you meant?
As per usual, this is your place for pre-game, in-game, and post-game talk.
