Steve Birnbaum on USMNT roster for October friendlies

Birdbomb among 23 players called in to face Cuba and New Zealand

Earlier today U.S. Soccer announced the list of 23 players that will comprised the United States team for friendlies in the upcoming international break. The U.S. plays Cuba in Havana Friday afternoon at 4pm Eastern before coming to RFK to host New Zealand on Tuesday, October 11.

Birnbaum continues his streak of callups, while Bill Hamid remains on the outside, with Ethan Horvath, William Yarbrough and David Bingham taking up the goalkeeping spots. Former D.C. midfielder Perry Kitchen, now of Heart of Midlothian in Scotland’s Premier League, also returns to the roster.

The full roster is as follows:
