D.C. United takes on Toronto FC tonight in a pivotal game, and the Filibuster crew is here to cover all of it. First, we broke down D.C. United’s 1-0 win over FC Dallas, including how we felt overall and how we feel about the tactics on display in that game. We talk about Russell Canouse’s goal and the defensive midfield situation, as well as the performance of the wingers and whether or not we want something to change.
In the second segment we bring our old friend Kristin Knowles on to talk about Toronto FC. We ask her what the difference is between last season and this season, the situation with all of their internationals (including Lucas Jansan), and their next game against the Montreal Impact. Finally, we ask her how the Toronto fans are handling the season and ask her to gameplan TFC for us. Give it a listen!
With your support, we’ve made two big upgrades! The first is that we are producing chapter marks for the segments now, and those should appear directly in your podcast app (or on SoundCloud, if you listen there). The second is that there are now audio transcriptions of the podcast for those who want or need them! They are available on our Internet Archive page only, so you’ll need to go over there to find them; they’re produced by speech recognition software, so they’re not 100% accurate, but they look readable. These upgrades are only possible because of the support we get on Patreon, so if you appreciate these upgrades, consider pitching in.
