D.C. United pulled out the three points they desperately needed on Sunday, and Filibuster is here to talk about it and about their upcoming game against FC Dallas. Adam, Jason, and Ben ask whether or not United were the better team on the balance before getting into Wayne Rooney’s first goal of the game, the one that was called back. We talk about right back and what it means to have Paul Arriola in that role, as well as center back and the best fits for the way the team is currently playing. We end by praising Junior Moreno, both for drawing the penalty and for his play overall recently.

In the second segment we dive into their upcoming game against Western Conference leading FC Dallas. We talk about how they’ve been playing and Max Urruti’s role in that. We break down their back line, their midfield, and try and figure out what Oscar Pareja wants to do with this team and how D.C. United can beat them. Give it a listen!

With your support, we’ve made two big upgrades! The first is that we are producing chapter marks for the segments now, and those should appear directly in your podcast app (or on SoundCloud, if you listen there). The second is that there are now audio transcriptions of the podcast for those who want or need them! They are available on our Internet Archive page only, so you’ll need to go over there to find them; they’re produced by speech recognition software, so they’re not 100% accurate, but they look readable. These upgrades are only possible because of the support we get on Patreon, so if you appreciate these upgrades, consider pitching in.
