Filibuster podcast episode 83: There's a little Kovalenko in Lewis Neal

On tap today: Epic Brewing Smoked and Oaked, Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye IPA, Snakebite

The Filibuster gang is back in your ears once again. We start by talking about the game against Sporting Kansas City, giving our overall game impressions and talking about Peter Vermes' bleating after the game. We talk about the good things that happened in the game, like Bill Hamid, Jeff Parke, and Fabian Espindola, as well as the bads, such as Alex Caskey and his red card.

We then move on to talk about he USMNT, including their bad defense in the game against Turkey, the diamond midfield in general, Jermaine Jones and Kyle Beckerman in particular, Jozy Altidore, and Timmy Chandler. We are not kind to poor Timmy Chandler.

We finish up this episode by talking about the Columbus Crew and D.C. United, who will play this weekend out in Landover, Maryland. The Crew have not played well these past few months, winning only one game since March, and so we break down their recent history. We also talk about the suspension of Perry Kitchen and how Ben Olsen will deal with that. Finally, we turn to Eddie Johnson and wonder if a higher tempo in this game might help him break out. Give us a listen!
