The Filibuster crew is back, yet again, and we are hear to talk about the FC Dallas game and the upcoming game against the Portland Timbers. We start off with a brief history of FC Dallas versus D.C. United, while hoping that 4-1 will be the scoreline at RFK for years to come. We then talk about Fabian Espindola and just how important he is to the team, and then talk about Chris Rolfe and how he will need to shoulder some of the creative burden. We end the first segment by talking about the midfield and possession soccer, the play of the team after the Zach Loyd red card, and Eddie Johnson.
For the second segment, we bring in Stacey Neve of Stumptown Footy to give us the lowdown on all things Portland., We start with asking her what is going on with Portland in general, what is going on with Max Urruti and Gaston Fernandez in particular, and whether or not the Timbers are the Soviet Communism of soccer this season. We also talk about the team's central defense, the money that Merritt Paulson can put forward, and whether or not the Timbers have too much artistry and not enough industry on their current team. We end this segment by talking about Caleb Porter, the connections between D.C. United and the Portland Timbers, and what D.C. United's gameplan should be if they want to win. Give it a listen!
