Cake or Death? Josh Wolff has already left D.C. United, but we're going to look him over anyway.

He scored the first, glorious goal for D.C. United after the worst season ever, netting in the 2011 season opener, ripping off his shirt and leaping into the Barra Brava. The next year, he became a player-coach, and in 2013, Josh Wolff was purely a member of Ben Olsen's coaching staff, working with forwards and attackers. Of course, he pre-empted today's Cake or Death vote by leaving last month to join Gregg Berhalter and the Columbus Crew. But similar situations didn't stop us with players who had already departed the Black-and-Red before we could have our say here, and we won't let it deter us now.

D.C. United's attack in 2013 was, in a series of synonyms, terrible, horrible, no good, very bad and otherwise atrocious. A lot of that is on the players, but we also saw an attack that looked devoid of ideas or understanding - the kind of stuff you might expect to be developed and focused on in training. At the same time, we saw growth in Michael Seaton, even after he returned from his season at United's USL-Pro affiliate Richmond Kickers, and we saw Conor Doyle score his first ever professional goals. As I said yesterday with Preston Burpo, it's difficult to say exactly how much of the blame or credit can go onto el Lobo's shoulders, but there's a poll to vote in, so we have to take on the task of assigning blame ourselves.
