MLS Power Rankings, Week 22: Make some moves

This week's Power Rankings leaves us wondering who will make the moves necessary to make a run during the month of August.

Week 22 was the week that saw the pack bunch up a bit, as we now have 11 teams in MLS over the 30 point mark, with 10 of those teams separated by only 8 points. FC Dallas, the top team this week, is 6 points clear of 2nd place Colorado, but the Rapids also have 3 games in hand on Dallas. Still, there are several teams that are keeping pace, including the teams on either side of the Hudson River, New York City FC and the New York Red Bulls.

As we enter August, these teams look at a schedule that doesn't have many games left to make moves. For those teams at the bottom of the standings, they're going to have a lot of pressure to make up ground to get above the playoff line. For those in the middle, they want to make a move on the leaders while hanging onto their current position. Off the field, teams have made trades and key signings that they think will put them over the top or turn around their season. Whatever their position is in the current standings, the time is now to show up and put some notches in the win column. If you want your team to be playing into November, you don't want to look back on these games and think what could have been.

So, let's here what you have to say. Is Dallas really leaps and bounds above the rest of the contender pack? Is D.C. United, who checks in at #18 this week, really one of the bottom feeders? What moves have been made by any of the teams that you think will give them the momentum they need to make a run? You know what's up...hit those comments and say what you feel!
