MLS Power Rankings, Week 1: Seattle and LA open strong

In our first edition of the 2015 Power Rankings, it's the Seattle Sounders and Los Angeles Galaxy that have started the season out in front.

This is as high as the Rapids will get in this article.

The Black and Red United power rankings have returned for the 2015 season, a chance each week to judge the rest of the league however we see fit.  It's hard to do real judging after the first week of matches, but we're going to do it anyway!

The two teams that started (LA Galaxy) and ended (Seattle Sounders) the weekend are the teams starting out of the gates at the top, and there are a couple other teams that showed a lot in their opening round.  What teams came out the blocks on fire and which teams left something to be desired?  Hit the comments to tell us who you think is the creme of the crop after 90 minutes of play by each team.

Seattle had the best game of the weekend. Deuce and Martins are the best attacking duo in MLS

Despite injuries and suspension to several key players, beat a team they were supposed to beat. Wait until they're at full strength...

Ugly but effective, Houston gets the first 3 points in the Owen Coyle era.

Tough road point at Portland, one of the toughest places to play.

They were the aggressor against Houston, but couldn't find the net

Started off hot, then TFC blew their doors off and exposed some serious defensive weaknesses.

Should have got 3 points against Colorado, but disappointed home fans by letting their chances slip through the cracks.

Chicago didn't stand a chance against the Galaxy.

San Jose looks like they're really going to struggle for goals this season.

Looked listless against D.C. United, they clearly are putting their eggs in the CONCACAF Champions League basket.

Colorado Rapids

Somehow pulled off the draw, but it's going to be a long season for them. And since Chivas USA is no longer in MLS, sorry Rapids, you really are at the bottom.
