MLS Week 6 Fantasy/Off-Topic Open Thread

With D.C. United playing on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday are left to the rest of the league. This is the spot for D.C. United fans seeking a safe place to talk about the rest of MLS, or anything else that catches their fancy.

Doug Pensinger

After last night's loss to Sporting Kansas City, I'm sure many D.C. United fans are going to turn their attention elsewhere for today. At least until the Final Four tips off this evening, your best bet might be other MLS games, and today's got plenty. The action kicks off at 4:00 with Toronto FC hosting the league-leading FC Dallas and continues right through Sunday's ESPN2 capper, the cellar-dwelling Chicago Fire vs. the arguably even more underperforming than us New York Red Bulls.

The game I'm looking forward to the most, though, might be - oddly - the Colorado Rapids hosting Real Salt Lake, on NBC Sports Network tonight at 7:30. The Rapids haven't been particularly good through the first month of the season, but RSL has struggled on the road with their young crop of skillful midfielders. Nevertheless, both sides will try to play ball and keep possession. Add in that this is a rivalry match, and you've got the making for some entertainment for us neutrals.

Check out the full schedule for Week 6 and let us know which games you're watching down in the comments. Also feel free to gloat about your fantasy players. This is your off-topic open thread - do enjoy.
