MLS 2013 Week 6 Schedule, TV/streaming, predictions

D.C. United returns from a bye week with a tough road match-up - Predictions and TV info for that and the rest of the MLS slate, all right here.

Jeff Zelevansky

Everybody rested after D.C. United's bye during Week 5? Good. They're back this week with a rare Friday night tilt that won't be nationally televised (Thanks, Sporks!). In our prediction league, Jason took no off days and pulled into the lead - our standings:

Week 3 Scores (possible 8): Adam: 4 points | Chest: 6 pts | Benuski: 4 pt | Stephen: 4 pts

Total Scores (possible 42): Adam: 17 pts | Chest: 20 pts | Benuski: 13 pts | Stephen: 18 pts

On to this week's schedule and snark!

Fri. April 5, 8:30 pm: Sporting Kansas City vs. D.C. United - MLS Live
Adam: SKC. Chest: SKC. Benuski: SKC. Stephen: SKC.

Drink every time Aurelien Collin reacts to a call against him with a look of shocked anguish. I would say drink every time Peter Vermes complains, but I don't want anyone to die of alcohol poisoning. -Chest

Sat. April 6, 4pm: Toronto FC vs. FC Dallas - MLS Live
Adam: FCD. Chest: FCD. Benuski: Draw. Stephen: Draw.

After effectively writing off Dallas after their Week 2 loss to the Goats, I'm going to go ahead and take credit for their table-topping turnaround, since it's obviously all driven by a desire to prove the doubters (i.e. me) wrong. Narcissistic? Naw, I just write on the internet. -Adam

Sat. April 6, 5 pm: Columbus Crew vs. Philadelphia Union - MLS Live, Univision Deportes
Adam: CLB. Chest: CLB. Benuski: Draw. Stephen: CLB.

I wasn't that impressed with the Crew at RFK, but they're still better than a Union side whose decent record is very, very flattering. -Chest

Sat. April 6, 7:30 pm: Colorado Rapids vs. Real Salt Lake - NBC Sports Network
Adam: Draw. Chest: RSL. Benuski: RSL. Stephen: RSL.

Anybody else think that RSL's reliance on youth in their attack is going to make them wildly unpredictable and inconsistent for the foreseeable future? Nobody else? Just me? Okay, then. -Adam

Sat. April 6, 10:30 pm: Portland Timbers vs. Houston Dynamo - MLS Live
Adam: HOU. Chest: HOU. Benuski: HOU. Stephen: Draw.

Houston doesn't lose at stadiums with no lower case letters in their names. -Stephen

Sat. April 6, 10:30 pm: San Jose Earthquakes vs. Vancouver Whitecaps - MLS Live
Adam: SJ. Chest: SJ. Benuski: SJ. Stephen: SJ.

If we follow the corollary that only one Canadian team can make the playoffs in any given year, Vancouver will continue to struggle. -Benuski

Sun. April 7, 5 pm: Chicago Fire vs. New York Red Bulls - ESPN2
Adam: Draw. Chest: NY. Benuski: Draw. Stephen: NY.

I'd love for this to end in a draw, but thus far the Fire have looked more like the TFC sides of the past. It would be more accurate to list them in 20th place in the overall standings and leave 19th blank. -Chest
