The rich got richer again this week, as Poor Man's Porales scored 89 points to extend their lead at the top of the table. It is also worth noting that they're 6th among all fantasy players. The team high scorer was Kei Kamara (CLB, $8.2), who scored 16 points on two goals in two matches. Kamara's Crew teammate Steve Clark ($5.7) contributed 13 points of his own with a clean sheet, and Vancouver's Pedro Morales ($11.0) scored an armband-aided 12 points, despite a red card against San Jose.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
Steve Clark's 13 points were good for the goalkeeping lead. Jaime Penedo (LA, $6.1) posted a clean sheet and 11 points, while Clint Irwin (COL, $5.1) got back on the clean sheet train with 9 points of his own. Bill Hamid ($6.3) scored 4 points for United.
Defenders
Omar Gonzalez (LA, $9.4) put up a clean sheet and an assist for 12 points and the lead among defenders, and Michael Parkhurst (CLB, $7.9) posted a clean sheet and 10 points over two games for 2nd. Three players tied for third with 9 points -- Damien Perrinelle (NYR, $6.7), who scored a goal; and Sebastian Hines (ORL, $7.6) and Jamison Olave (RSL, $8.4), who each earned clean sheets. For DCU, Taylor Kemp ($7.5) led with 5 points, while Bobby Boswell ($9.1) earned 3, and Sean Franklin ($8.0) and Kofi Opare ($5.0) earned 2.
Midfielders
Three players tied for the positional lead with 13 points -- Dillon Powers (COL, $7.6), who scored a goal and added an assist; Justin Meram (CLB, $7.7), who had an assist over two matches; and Perry Kitchen (DCU, $7.7), who scored two goals. The rest of the D.C. midfield featured Chris Rolfe ($8.6) with 5 points, Michael Farfan ($6.4) with 3, Davy Arnaud ($6.6) and Chris Pontius ($7.0) with 2, and Jared Jeffrey ($5.5) and Luis Silva ($8.5) with 1.
Forwards
Kei Kamara's 16 points led all forwards and all players. Darren Mattocks (VAN, $7.7) accrued a goal and an assist on the way to 12 points, while the duo of Gabriel Torres (COL, $7.2) and Octavio Rivero (VAN, $8.9) each scored 10 points, Rivero with a goal, and Torres with a goal and an assist. For DCU, Jairo Arrieta ($6.5) scored 2 points, and Conor Doyle ($5.5) scored 1.
Looking Ahead
There are no byes this week, but New York City and Philadelphia each play twice, including a head-to-head match on Thursday night. I've been avoiding recommending him thus far, but I like Bill Hamid in goal at home against Houston. In defense, roll the dice on the relatively cheap but effective Joevin Jones (CHI, $6.4) on the road against punchless Montreal. In the midfield, be sure to use your Pedro Morales money to trade in for Javier Morales (RSL, $11.1), and do what you must to get David Villa (NY, $10.3) in for his two games at home (PHI, POR).
Everyone's Adding: G - Josh Saunders (NY, $5.6, +68), D - Jason Hernandez (NY, $6.6, +156), M - Harry Shipp (CHI, $7.9, +111), F - David Villa (+247)
Everyone's Dropping: G - David Ousted (VAN, $5.4, -38), D - Atiba Harris (DAL, $5.8, -47), M - Pedro Morales (-119), F - Chris Wondolowski (SJ, $10.7, -59)
