Fantasy Focus: And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Anor!"

Quoth the Blasian...

A tally of 69 points led the way this week, with Parke the Bus the beneficiary. Leading the way and wearing the armband was Toronto's Jermain Defoe ($10.8), who scored his team's only goal in defeating DCU on his way to 14 points. Colorado's Vicente Sanchez ($7.5) scored 11 points, aided by drawing a penalty and scoring, and Stefan Frei ($5.1) earned a clean sheet and 7 points. In It Toux Wynne It increased their overall lead in the table.

Positional Leaders

Stefan Frei's 9 points were equaled by Vancouver's David Ousted ($5.5), with a clean sheet of his own, to share the goalkeeper lead this week. Both Bobby Shuttleworth (NE, $5.0) and John Berner (COL, $4.0) earned clean sheets and 8 points. D.C.'s Bill Hamid ($4.9) tallied 4 points.

Five defenders tied for the positional lead with 9 points, and each of them notched a clean sheet in the process: Jose Goncalves (NE, $9.4), Chad Marshall (SEA, $8.5), Ike Opara (SKC, $6.9), Doneil Henry (TOR, $6.5), and Andy O'Brien (VAN, $7.5). Among United defenders, Bobby Boswell ($7.9) and Christian Fernandez ($6.4) scored 4 points, and Sean Franklin ($7.8) and Jeff Parke ($6.8) scored 3 points.

Columbus' Bernardo Anor ($6.0) scored two goals, on his way to 12 points and the overall lead for the round. He bested Jeff Larentowicz (CHI, $7.1) with his goal and 9 points. Three players finished tied for third with 8 points: Will Trapp (CLB, $6.0) with an assist, Dax McCarty (NY, $8.0) with a goal, and Sebastien Le Toux (PHI, $8.6) with an assist. DCU midfielders were led by Nick DeLeon ($6.9) and his 4 points. Perry Kitchen ($6.4) and Luis Silva ($7.3) followed with 3 points, and Davy Arnaud ($7.0) and Kyle Porter ($4.9) scored 1 point.

Vicente Sanchez led all forwards with his 11 points. Six players tied for second with 7 points: Defoe, Deshorn Brown (COL, $8.4), Robbie Keane (LA, $10.8), Obafemi Martins (SEA, $9.4), Dom Dwyer (SKC, $8.0), and Harrison Shipp (CHI, $5.5) -- each of whom scored a goal except Shipp, who contributed an assist. Brown missed a penalty. For United, Eddie Johnson ($9.8) and Javier Espindola ($8.2) each scored 2 points, and Conor Doyle ($6.5) scored 1.

Looking Ahead

LA is on bye this week, so sit those guys. Since United hasn't proven that they know where the goal is, I'm in on Sean Johnson (CHI, $5.0, 12 points) as the goalkeeper this week as the Fire come to RFK. In defense, take a low money risk with Shaun Francis (SJ, $5.5, 6 points), at home against goalless New England. In midfield, have a look at Mauro Diaz (DAL, $7.7, 20 points), since they're hosting the Donovan Ricketts-less Portland Timbers. Lastly, Erick Torres (CHV, $8.1, 24 points) doesn't have a great matchup at NY, but he has a goal in each of his first three games, so think about riding the hot hand.

Everyone's Adding: GK - Frei (19 points, +256), D - Dylan Remick (SEA, $4.4, 17 points, +529), M - Leonardo Fernandes (PHI, $4.7, 15 points, +767), F - Jermain Defoe (20 points, +517)

Everyone's Dropping: GK - Donovan Ricketts (POR, $6.0, 10 points, -620), D - Bobby Burling (CHV, $5.3, 11 points, -214), M - Diego Fagundez (NE, $8.0, 10 points, -273), F - Joao Plata (RSL, $7.4, 25 points, -454)
