D.C. United came into Saturday night's game with the Portland Timbers in need of a positive result, and while the Timbers haven't been exactly world beaters on the road, D.C., though playing better, hadn't made strides up the Eastern Conference table. Thankfully, an early goal and a second D.C. goal led to a 2-0 win that put the Black-and-Red back in the hunt, so to speak.
Which brings me to the ratings ballot. Recapping, the scale is as follows:
1 - Not a pro (MLS/NASL/USL) quality performance
4 - Average USL starter
6 - Average MLS starter
9 - MLS All-Star
10 - MLS MVP-quality performance
And if you want to lobby the fine friends here on someone who should be higher or lower, feel free to do so:
