D.C. United 0-2 Montreal Impact GIFs: Birdbomb Edition

In which we look at the highlights(?) of the sophomore defender's night.

By now, everyone is aware of how new Montreal Impact Designated Player Didier Drogba did against Steve Birnbaum and D.C. United in their 2-0 win. So we figured we would look at a couple of things from that game, in a post we'd like to call "something Birdbomb may not want to see."

The first is obviously Drogba's second goal on the night, which I marvel at less because of how Birnbaum got worked and more about how easily Markus Halsti was dispossessed off the ball by Nigel Reo-Coker, along with Bobby Boswell's positioning when this happens:

Next is Drogba's work around Birnbaum which didn't lead to a goal but was impressive nonetheless:

Next is a nice pass Drogba connected with Dilly Duka on. Wasted, this Impact opportunity was.

Next is the Drogba yellow card on Birnbaum (admittedly a retaliatory foul), and you can see how premeditated this thing was:

The last GIF isn't really related to the game, though it serves as a summation of Birnbaum's night and the night for the team in general:
