D.C. United 1-1 Colorado Rapids: the GIFs

The animated file serves a comeback of sorts.

D.C. United did not comfort the cockles of the heart in the first half of Saturday's game with the Colorado Rapids, but the ultimate result, a 1-1 road draw, appears to be something that Ben Olsen and charges will try to use to build momentum for a playoff run.

With that, here are some random moments in GIF form for your eyeholes, starting with Taylor Kemp and his weird clearance, and Markus Halsti playing Johnny on the spot:

Moving along to the goal, and Bobby Burling threading a whole bunch of needles before it gets by Bill Hamid who even still managed to get close to it:

Moving into the second half, and something I'll title "What were you thinking, Bobby Boswell?"

Further still, and Hamid taking a Vicente Sanchez knee upside his head in order to make sure none shall pass (check out the cover pic for a really nice shot)

Now for the goal. Fabian Espindola coming up so Kemp can play it to him, being kept onside it appears by Sean St. Ledger, the latter of whom gets bossed by Steve Birnbaum on the cross.

Last, the frantic action in front of Hamid's net, and Lucas Pittinari screwing himself into the ground to miss this one. From where I was in DSGP, I thought Hamid got to the rebound, but Kemp cleared it before it became a thing.
