D.C. United 1-1 New England Revolution: The GIFs*

Animated moments from a "spirited" draw.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

* - So not ALL of these may be exactly GIFs from the game. But I think they do summarize most of the feeling about the performance. With that, bring on the fun!

Suffice to say, the play of the D.C. United in the first half against the New England Revolution was disappointing. Then Michael Farfan went out to injury and we were all like:

New England scored on a Charlie Davies tap-in after shodding marking on a corner and then we became all:

A word here, in case anyone forgot about just how horrible a human being Jay Heaps is, I give you this quote post-game regarding Chris Tierney's red card foul on Chris Pontius:

"As much as we’ve got to be smart, the referee has to be smart. I don’t think the first one’s a red card."

This, according to Jay Heaps, isn't a red card:

Go away Jay Heaps. I hope you and Steve Ralston see as many MLS Cup Final losses as coaches as you did as players.

Once Lee Nguyen was sent off and the Revs were down two men, D.C. were going to score a billion goals and they didn't and we were all:

Then D.C. got their goal, and it was fairly nice (Facundo Coria from Bobby Boswell starting things up):

And then a final chance from Coria, an interesting look at potential?

Anyway, bring on the Portland Timbers Wednesday night.
