Last year, it went just about as expected. In our inaugural MLS Hate Index for D.C. United fans, we gave you lot the opportunity to rank the rest of Major League Soccer in order of our loathing for them. In the least surprising development ever, the New York Red Bulls came out head and shoulders above the rest of the league in the hatred we feel for the former Metrostars. (Hey, they've got to be #1 at something, right?) Coming in just behind them were the likes of the Philadelphia Union, LA Galaxy and some other clubs we collectively don't care particularly much for. Go see last year's Hate Index in full, and then come back here to take part in this year's edition.
Here's how it works: thumbs up for hate; thumbs down for tolerance or (especially) admiration. If a team is too low on the list for your liking - if you hate them more than the list indicates - give them an upvote. If somebody is higher on the Hate Index than you think they should be, then downvote them. Simple, right? The list is always in flux, and you can change your votes as many times as you like, so be sure to check back over the next few days to update your votes and ensure your voice is counted on the final list.
On this year's list, we won't see the team that finished #16 last year, as Chivas USA of course is no more. We more than make up for the Goats' permanent absence, however, with new additions New York City FC and Orlando City SC.
Enough exposition. Let's get to it.
