Richmond Kickers versus Lousiville City FC: USL streaming, prediction, lineups, and gamethread

The Richmond Kickers take on Louisville City FC for the first time ever this afternoon.

Pattie Anderson

After battling back to get a draw in their first match of the season, the Richmond Kickers return home to take on Louisville City FC. The Kickers home opener will take place again at Richmond's City Stadium, their home for the past 20 years. Louisville City is the USL successor to Orlando City, having taken their franchise, their colors, and becoming the Lions USL affiliate. It is the first-ever meeting between the two teams, and Conor Shanosky will feature for Louisville, having played the last few seasons for D.C. United and the Kickers. Let's hope that the Kickers can do to Louisville what United did to Orlando.

Time: 5:00 PM EDT

Venue: City Stadium, Richmond, Va.

Streaming: As with all USL games, this one is available on YouTube for live play and rewatching.

D.C. United players in attendance: Travis Worra, Jalen Robinson, and Luke Mishu should all be down in Richmond for this game. Collin Martin seems to still be hurt, and may require surgery on a hernia.

Richmond Kickers starting XI: Worra will start in goal, with Stephen Basso, Jalen Robinson, William Yomby, and Luke Mishu in front of him. Samuel Asante and Michael Callahan will start in defensive midfield, with Fred Owusu Sekyere, George Davis IV, and Jason Yeisley in front of them. Matthew Delicate will be the center forward.

Prediction: Richmond Kickers are coming home against an expansion team. I think they will get the win, just as D.C. United did against their MLS affiliate, but by a score of 2-1.

What are you drinking: Sometime today I will probably be drinking an O'Connor El Guapo, so let's go with that.

As always, this is your place for pre-game, in-game, and post-game discussion.
