Richmond Kickers versus Charlotte Eagles: USL PRO streaming, prediction, lineups, and gamethread

Before #DCUafterdark later tonight, watch the Kickers take on the Eagles.

Suz Kitsteiner

The Richmond Kickers return to City Stadium to take on the Charlotte Eagles, who are the owners of the only victory over the Kickers this season. While this game was being billed as the game that could clinch a spot in the playoffs for Richmond, they actually qualified based on the results of last night's games. However, they still have a small chance to catch Orlando City SC for the regular season title and they need to hold off LA Galaxy II and Sacramento Republic FC to keep their hold on the second seed in the playoffs. Plus, a little revenge on the Eagles in their last season is due.

Since the D.C. United game doesn't start until 10 PM, whet your whistle with the Kickers!

Kickoff time: 7:00 PM EDT

Venue: City Stadium, Richmond, Va.

Streaming: As always, you can find all USL PRO games on YouTube. If you have a Roku or a Chromecast (or possibly other devices), you should be able to watch the game on your TV.

D.C. United players in attendance: From the training photographs on Facebook, it looks like Conor Shanosky will be in Richmond tonight. If Alex Caskey is healthy, I would like to see him show up in Richmond just to get him some game time. And Kyle Porter is listed as out on the MLS injury report, but he is another player I would like to see in Richmond if he isn't going to make the bench in D.C.

Richmond Kickers starting XI: Since Joe Willis has returned to D.C., Ryan Taylor will start in goal. His defense will be Hugh Roberts, Conor Shanosky, William Yomby, and Sascha Goerres. Defensive midfielders will be Luke Vercollone and Samuel Asante, with Shay Spitz, George Davis IV, and Jason Yeisley in attacking midfield. USL PRO goal-scoring leader Matthew Delicate will start up top.

Prediction: The Kickers will get the job done with a 2-0 victory. Matthew Delicate can't stop scoring, and Shay Spitz is red hot right now.

What are you drinking? I am going to Isley Brewing Company here in Richmond to get some of their Choosy Mother peanut butter porter today, so that.

As always, this is your place for all of your pre-game, in-game and post-game musings.
