Richmond Kickers versus Orange County Blues: USL PRO streaming, prediction, lineups, and gamethread

The Richmond Kickers head west for two games in three days, starting with the Orange County Blues.

Pattie Anderson

The Richmond Kickers finish up the regular season with three games on the road, the first two of which are on the West Coast. Tonight the Kickers take on the Orange County Blues (formerly the LA Blues), before taking on Curt Onalfo and the LA Galaxy II on Monday. Wins in these games are needed to climb back into second place, which has been taken over by the Sacramento Republic; should the two teams finish level on points, the Kickers hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Kickoff time: 10:00 PM EDT

Venue: Anteater Stadium, Irvine, CA

Streaming: As always, you can find all USL PRO games on YouTube. If you have a Roku or a Chromecast (or possibly other devices), you should be able to watch the game on your TV.

D.C. United players in attendance: There have been no public announcements of players traveling, and no training photographs from which to glean information. However, I would be surprised if no D.C. United players traveled with the Kickers, especially as the first team starts to get healthier.

Richmond Kickers starting XI: Ryan Taylor will start in goal, with Alex Lee, Conor Shanosky, William Yomby, and Sascha Goerres in front of him. Luke Vercollone and Samuel Asate will start in defensive midfield, with Shay Spitz, George Davis IV, and Jason Yeisley in attacking midfield. Matthew Delicate should start up top.

Prediction: The OC Blues currently sit tied for bottom of the table, but the Kickers have had a tendency to play down to their opposition this season. Still, I think they get it done with a 2-0 victory.

What are you drinking? I recently got a growler of Triple Crossing Brewery's Street Cred double IPA, which is a collaboration between them and Mekong, a pho restaurant that also happens to be one of the best beer bars in the country. So I will likely be sipping on that.

As always, this is your place for pre-game, in-game, ad post-game chatter.
