Tonight is the Richmond Kickers' middle game of their three games in five days stretch, taking on the Sporting Kansas City-affiliated Oklahoma City Energy. The Energy are coached by former Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen, have two wins and five losses so far on the season. After tonight's game, they will go to Chicago to take on the Chicago Fire Reserves on Sunday evening.
Time: 8:00 PM EDT
Venue: Pribil Stadium, Oklahoma City, OK.
Streaming: You guys know the drill by now: USL PRO + YouTube = streaming goodness.
D.C. United players in attendence: I know that Joe Willis and Christiano Francois will be with the team, but other than that, I don't know. My guess is that maybe Conor Shanosky will be sent too, but that's just guesswork.
Projected starting XI: For this, I will assume that Shanosky is not in town. If that is the case, the lineup will be Joe Willis in goal, with Alex Lee, William Yomby, Hugh Roberts, and Sascha Goerres in front of him. Samuel Astante and Luke Vercollone will be in defensive midfield, with Christiano Francois, George Davis IV, and Tishan Hanley in front of them. The rested Matthew Delicate will start up top.
Prediction: The Kickers should be able to be the struggling Energy. 2-1 is my guess.
What are you drinking? It is a lovely night in Richmond, so I am sitting on my porch and drinking some rum. If you can, I recommend sitting outside in your yard or porch, having a drink, and watching some soccer.
As always and forever, this is your place for pre-game, in-game, and post-game chats.
