In another stroke of fortuitous scheduling, the Richmond Kickers will play right before tonight's D.C. United game, allowing you to watch both the players on loan and then the senior team. The will again take on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, who they beat two weeks ago, because USL PRO scheduling is always interesting.
Time: 5:00 PM EDT
Venue: City Stadium, Richmond, Va.
Streaming: New for 2014, all USL PRO games will be streamed on YouTube; in addition, City Stadium now has a direct internet line into the Stadium, and so streams no longer come over a 4G wireless hotspot.
Projected Richmond Kickers starting XI: Predicting the starting XI is always difficult in USL PRO, and double so when you don't know exactly which D.C. United players have been loaned. However, I will guess that Ryan Taylor will be in goal, with Alex Lee, Conor Shanosky, William Yomby, and Taylor Kemp in front of him. Luke Vercollone and Jared Jeffrey will start in defensive midfield, with Christiano Francois, George Davis IV, and Kyle Porter (wild guess) in front of them. Michael Seaton will get the start up top.
Prediction: I think that the Kickers get back on the right track and get a 2-1 win over the Riverhounds, who will be missing Collins John for this game.
What are you drinking? I will be on the road much of today and tomorrow, but I think a Virginia brew will be called for. Perhaps the Parkway Bridge Builder?
As always, this is your place for pre-game, in-game, and post-game chatter.
