The Richmond Kickers won a low scoring affair against the Dayton Dutch Lions 1-0 on Saturday evening, propelling themselves into the USL Pro semifinals. Neither team created many chances, but the Kickers converted the only opportunity presented to them and then rode their league leading defense to close out the match. You can see the full video highlights below.

The only goal of the evening started from a long ball out of the back by Henry Kalungi. The ball took a bounce off of a Dayton defender who was being pressured by Matthew Delicate and landed squarely in the path of Joseph Ngwenya. Ngwenya's first touch put him in on goal and he beat the keeper to notch his tenth goal of the year. Both Conor Shanosky and Andrew Dykstra went the full 90 minutes, with Michael Seaton coming on as a late sub to help kill off the game.

The Kickers are back in action this Saturday when they host the Charlotte Eagles. The Eagles upset the fourth seeded Harrisburg City Islanders in the first round to earn their trip to Richmond. The teams tied one match this season 3-3, featuring a late goal from Conor Shanosky to tie the game, and the Kickers won the second match 1-0 off of a Joseph Ngwenya goal.
