After a somewhat choppy performance against the Rochester Rhinos, the Richmond Kickers turn around and take on the third place Harrisburg City Islanders tonight. And even after giving up a late goal to Rochester, they still tied 1-1 and therefore broke the USL Pro record for most games unbeaten; their streak currently stands at 16, and they look to make it 17 tonight.
However, they will be able to take on the City Islanders with the services of Michael Seaton, who is joining them in Harrisburg after an impressive display against Chivas. His return will be welcome, as the it was the holdup play in the attacking third that lead to the choppiness of their offense. The City Islanders defense is around the league average in goals allowed, so the Kickers should be able to put a few past them.
Time: 7:00 pm
Venue: Skyline Sports Complex, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Streaming: You can find the stream for this game on uslnation.com.
Projected lineup: Ryan Jones will start in goal, with Alex Lee, Henry Kalungi, William Yomby, and Juan Arbelaez in defense. Mike Callahan and Luke Vercollone are the defensive midfielders, with Nate Robinson, Joseph Ngwenya, and Brian Ownby in front of them. Michael Seaton will play up top.
Prediction: After the tie last night, the Kickers will be gunning for the win. 2-1 seems a hopeful, but possible, prediction.
What are you drinking? After the popularity of last night's Washington Apple in the GameThread and in my mouth, I think I will go with that again
