Richmond Kickers vs. VSI Tampa Bay: Streaming, lineups, prediction, and GameThread

After winning last night against Orlando City SC, the Kickers travel southwest to take on VSI Tampa Bay.

After winning last night against league-leading Orlando City SC 2-0, the undefeated Richmond Kickers travel southwest to take on VSI Tampa Bay. This is Tampa Bay's first season in USL Pro and they are competing locally with the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers of the NASL. With their stadium as far away from Tampa as Frisco is to Dallas, it is no surprise that their attendance numbers are low, averaging around 500 people per game. And after starting the season on a hot streak, Tampa Bay has not won a game in their last for tries, with defeats coming at the hands lowly Rochester and Dayton. All of this is to say that the still undefeated Richmond Kickers could very well sneak away with all three points.

Time: 7:35 pm

Venue: Plant City Stadium, Plant City, Florida (a baseball stadium and once the Spring Training home of the Cincinnati Reds)

Streaming: As always, USL Pro games are streamed online for free.

Projected lineup: Projecting the lineup for the second leg of a back to back is always hard, and this is the reason that USL Pro teams are given five subs per match. But I will go with Andrew Dykstra in goal, with Henry Kalungi and Shane Johnson in front of him. Alex Lee and Juan Arbelaez will be the fullbacks, with Philippe Davies and Luke Vercollone in defensive midfield. Nate Robinson, Joseph Haboush, and Brian Ownby will start in the attacking midfield, with Michael Seaton remaining up top.

Prediction: After beating Orlando City last night, anything is possible. I'll go with a 2-1 victory for the Kickers.
