Richmond Kickers vs. Vancouver Whitecaps: Streaming, lineups, prediction, and GameThread

The Richmond Kickers take on the Vancouver Whitecaps Reserves for their last home match for a month and a half.

USA TODAY Sports

The Richmond Kickers end their lengthy homestand tonight and are commemorating that with their first ever league match against an MLS Reserve League. The Vancouver Whitecaps Reserves are coming to town, and are bringing such players as Brad Knighton and Darren Mattocks. After this match, the Kickers go on an eight game road trip before returning to City Stadium at the very end of July. Matches against MLS reserve teams now count in the standings for USL Pro teams, so this will be a real test of the Kickers' mettle.

Time: 7:00pm

Venue: City Stadium, Richmond, Va.

Streaming: As always, the games are streamed for free online at uslnation.com.

Projected lineup: Andrew Dykstra will start in goal, as always. Henry Kalungi has returned from international duty with Uganda and will slot back into central defense, alongside William Yomby, Alex Lee, and Shane Johnson. Mike Callahan and Luke Vercollone will start in the middle, with Nate Robinson, Joseph Ngwenya, and Brian Ownby in front of them. Michael Seaton will likely start if he has returned to Richmond; if not, Jason Yeisley will again start.

Prediction: I'm thinking a draw, something like 1-1.

What are you drinking? I won't be able to make it to the stadium tonight, but I did pick up a growler full of Hardywood Park Craft Brewery's Bourbon Cru. Its a Belgian quadruppel aged in bourbon barrels, and it is delicious.

As always, this is your place for pre-game, in-game, and post-game chatter.
