After seeing leaks of it, teases of it, and problems with it, D.C. United has officially released their new primary jersey ahead of the season ticket holder event this afternoon. It includes all the the varieties, including the short-sleeve, long-sleeve, and goalkeeper jerseys, and is modeled in the release by Bobby Boswell, Kofi Opare, Andrew Dykstra, and Julian Buescher.
We have seen the features before, but let's run over them again: sublimated black hoops run the length of the jersey; "Taxation Without Representation" neck tape; outline of the District and the District flag in the lower corner of the shirt; sillhouettes of the US Capitol, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Jefferson Monument; and, of course, the brand new badge.
As we reported yesterday, jerseys purchased with the erroneous neck tape today will be available to be exchanged in July. I know I'm going to want to buy one as quickly as possible, but what do you think now that you've seen them on players?
