D.C. United/Washington Wizards TV voice Dave Johnson Hospitalized for Dehydration

The beloved broadcaster may go on the injury report.

The voice of D.C. United on television, Dave Johnson, mentioned on his Facebook page that he was hospitalized for dehydration while hiking on vacation in California.

It was not immediately known if Johnson, a Comcast SportsNet Washington personality who also does occasional appearances as sports anchor on the NBC affiliate in Washington (as well as handling play by play for the Washington Wizards) would be able to return in time for D.C. United's game Saturday night with the San Jose Earthquakes, though the next game that Comcast carries after Saturday would be on September 12 at the Colorado Rapids. Were he not be available for Saturday's game, presumably this would mean that friend of B&RU (and recent Filibuster guest) Sebastian Salazar would get the nod as play by play man, with Santino Quaranta doing the analysis.

Regardless of who is behind the mic on Saturday, hold your own little #RadioParty to the voice of the Black and Red and the 'Zards for a quick recovery, free of any complications.
