D.C. United has announced their full preseason schedule today and will be opening camp on January 22 in Washington before traveling to Bradenton, Florida, on January 24. While in Florida, they will play three games, with one of those games rumored to be against a Swedish team. After returning to Washington for three days, the team will then go to Austin, Texas, for the ATX Pro Challenge. This tournament will include FC Dallas, Columbus Crew SC, and the Austin Aztex. Most of this information was already out there, but is now confirmed.
A new stop for D.C. United will be Dallas, to which they will travel after the ATX Pro Challenge. They will train there from February 16 through February 22 at FC Dallas' facilities and play a friendly against FC Dallas, which will be their second of the preseason. United will try and stream some of these games on their website, so we soccer nerds can see the team starting to take shape. All of this builds to their first Concacaf Champions League game on February 26.
