D.C. United vs. Columbus Crew: When Last We Met... LEWIS NEAL! LEWIS NEAL!

In which we look back at the last time the Black-and-Red played their upcoming opponent. This week, we relive a great moment in recent RFK Stadium, and beer-throwing, history.

We're gearing up for tonight's U.S. Men's National Team match against Costa Rica, with World Cup qualification on the line, but that doesn't mean we're neglecting our local boys. Tomorrow afternoon, D.C. United takes on the Columbus Crew right here in the Nation's Capital. It's a matchup between two top-half Eastern Conference sides through three games this year, but right now, it's time to look backward.

All the way back to October 20 of last year, in fact. The venue was again RFK Memorial Stadium, and the Black-and-
Red needed a point to clinch their first postseason birth in five years, while the Crew were looking to push their way into the playoff spots with a win. Despite giving up two goals, United got the point and then some, thanks to a stoppage time winner from Lewis Neal, who ever since has been known around these parts as LEWIS NEAL because of this very goal.

Make sure you're somewhere you can turn your speakers up - you won't want to miss the sound on this, especially late in the clip. Enjoy.
