Fantasy Focus: Fall is Here

Mamadou about Something

MLS: Sporting Kansas City at Los Angeles FC Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Pele tens Eleven led the league this round scoring 102 points while no other team scored 90 or more.

BL4CKnRED still leads overall, with their lead shrinking ever so slightly to 36 points.

Positional Leaders

(reminder: D.C. United was on bye this round)

Goalkeepers

Portland’s Steve Clark ($6.8) kept a clean sheet on the way to 11 points, leading the position just ahead of Brad Knighton (NE, $5.9), who kept a clean sheet of his own for 10 points. Nick Marsman (MIA, $6.3) rounded out the top three with 9 points on the strength of a clean sheet.

Defenders

Mamadou Fall (LA, $5.8) put together a clean sheet and two goals on his way to 21 points, leading the defenders and all players. Off in the distance was the 13-point pair of Nicolas Figal (MIA, $5.9), with a clean sheet and an assist, and Erik Godoy (VAN, $5.0), with a goal.

Midfielders

LA’s Eduard Atuesta ($8.8) tallied a goal, two assists, and 19 points leading all midfielders. Hany Mukhtar’s (NSH, $12.0) two goals and 14 points were good enough for second, ahead of RSL’s Albert Rusnak ($9.6), who scored 11 points on a goal and an assist.

Forwards

Jesus Ferreira (DAL, $9.2) led the forwards for the second round running, with a goal, an assist, and 14 points. Jonathan Menendez (RSL, $7.0) did the same for 12 points, while Daryl Dike (ORL, $8.4) followed suit while scoring 10 points.

Looking Ahead

Philadelphia is on bye this round, and everyone else plays once. I like Joe Willis (NSH, $8.7) in goal at Montreal, and in defense look at San Jose’s Nathan ($9.3) at FC Dallas. In midfield, Lucas Zelarayan (CLB, $10.6) is at Miami and riding a streak of seven or more points over his last three games, and at forward, I like Daniel Salloi (SKC, $9.1) vs. Chicago.
